within twoish hours of my local community, theres 8 different CC events but only one Draft :/ i can understand why stores dont want to run draft events though

but i will say - if your prizing is just pack per win, and thats what you do for armories, then your entry fee should be similar

my main point is: adding to the prize pool based on # of participants makes sense from my perspective, whether thats in the form of pack per win or a cumulative pool to be broken up

tho even the stores that do top heavy prizing typically do pack per win for everyone alongside it. it just depends on what you think locals are willing to spend for an event. imo, as long as the total prize pool reflects my entry fee, its fine

locally, the successful rtns/pqs do top heavy prizing, bc theyre competitive events. one successful store that comes to mind adds packs to the prize pool for each participant, then spread it out 1st>2nd>3-4th>5-8th in terms of how much they get. casual events get pack per win/more even prizing
