Therapists and social workers can definitely feel like enemies for lots of minorites or discriminated groups, and while there are plenty of bad ones theres also tons of those who very well might have had similar experiences and genuinely wish to aid their kin out of unhealthy thoughts and habits

I speak as someone who had many therapists as a kid whom never felt like they did much for me at the time and now Im neither in the place to be going, however what therapy does do and why repeated visits are necessary is in building lifelong skills and methods that better your life moving forward.
