Like I'm fascinating with the Larian thing mostly because I'm sure Vincke genuinely believed he and his team are using AI 'responsibly' - they're not releasing AI slop, everything released is "done by artists", etc. There's simply no interrogation with the philosophy the tool represents.

Like, they're even just ignoring what words mean. The "final product" is what the process *produces*. Even if they remove or replace the things directly produced by ai before release, it has definitively affected the final product.

I feel like most creative types usually "explore things" by, you know, being creative and using their own brains, not the automated plagiarism machine

I prefer going out at night, like cool weather, and enjoy the snow, so I'm fully on the reverse seasonal depression train there. Now I'm currently living in the southwest and environment wise, it is miserable for me.

For these types of games, I've gotten Peak recently and played it exactly once and my only complaint there is that I wish I could get friends together to play it more often. I'm not complaining about the games.

I mean, I'm talking more situations where I get the game at friends' encouragement and then we never even play it once. I'm happy to get a game for a one off, it's usually cheaper than even a trip to the bar or something. I think it's more a frustration with the people than with the games.

Think the guy in the original video himself agreed with such a take in the comments. I've definitely had the experience of my friends telling me to buy a game to play with them and then once I've bought it, none of us ever play it again tho

Pyrexia is extremely good either way imo

Maybe I'm too cautious but the gaming industry always takes things like this as precedent to normalize it and keep pushing further when they think they can get away with it. I'll admit I'm also less inclined to be forgiving because I hate like everything this studio says and does already honestly

This country exists to make sure you can't even start to have any hope for the future for a full week at a time
