New fentanyl data undercuts White House’s portrayal of Canada’s role in U.S. drug crisis

It would be really nice to have ad hoc group calls in signal, even if it's just syntactic sugar for creating a temp group and then auto deleting it.

[Uspol, signal]

Genuinely can't wait for the halfhearted coverup story of "signal is a woke leftist organization, so we need to make Truth Signal" and then for them to copy paste the code and fuck up the deployment badly enough that in 6 months we get the most glorious fascist chat leaks of all […]

The two NASA astronauts who were unexpectedly stranded on the space station for the last nine months have been picked up and are on the way back.

I'm imagining a conversation during the journey back:

Astronauts: So, what's been going on these last nine months?

Rescue Crew: [...]

🎉 New paper in PNAS: Urban highways are barriers to social ties

Pretty good. Sober, clear on the challenge. Not too much Macron and big ideas (as much as I like those, but not the moment). Statesmanlike.
I liked the end on “no peace dividends, but if we do it right a dividend of our efforts”.
As usual, I would like such a speech from a German politician.

This is often the problem with left-wing/pacifist (large catch all term, and yes I generalise). Because they don’t like the topic, they don’t know it and we end up with nonsense debates.
I want someone who understands mil caps, ours and others, to make the argument against increased spending.
