I don't think sMTG will run as a Democrat, but I think in 2028 we may see the latent Ron Paul libertarian and Massie/Rand//Tucker wing of the GOP coalesce around a candidate to challenge Vance and the authoritarian right.

the military leadership has been at least partially purged. And this SCOTUS already gave Trump legal immunity & the Insurrection Act goes along nicely with their Unitary Executive theory.

doesn't apply to it once it's invoked. Trump wanted to use it last time on the George Floyd protestors but was talked out of it by the more sane people around him & he wanted to use it again in 2021 to stop Congress from certifying the election of Biden. But now the opposition from within is gone &

It is like a cheat code for a wannabe tyrant. It's really a monarch type power. Really bad law that should never have been passed & should have been undone. Was passed to suppress a supposed insurrection by Aaron Burr carving out his own nation which he was later acquitted of. Before the 1807

like Cato was. Filibuster was basically an invention of his. There's a myth/cult around Cato but he was an oligarchic villain imo. We lost the "Anticato" to history which was written by Caesar. The Senate has become extremely ineffective & the place where legislation goes to die like in Late
