Trump and his circle spent years whipping up his cult about Epstein, claiming the Epstein files were the holy grail that would prove Pizzagate and jail every D for child sex trafficking.

Now Trump is raging at his base for not following his orders to forget all about it.
July 16, 2025 at 10:04 PM
The Trump-Putin bromance is currently on the rocks, because it dawned on Trump that Putin - rather than rushing to give him a Trump-decreed ceasefire - is playing him and escalating the war.

But Trump is so susceptible, one phone call with Putin could completely change his 'mind' again.
July 14, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Uh huh. The same Putin who told Trump he'd implement a unilateral ceasefire in Ukraine and then kept attacking the same as before? Putin lies like he breathes. His aim here is manipulating Trump into pulling US weapons from Ukraine, not seeking to rein in his allies in Iran.

Where was this disgusted tone from the NYT when Trump was campaigning on all of this shit? Instead, they were sanewashing it and screaming about Biden's age or Harris's media strategy. Now they want us to pay them for coverage of the damage they wanted to enable.

Trump is now trying to penalize other countries for prosecuting *their* anti-democracy insurrectionists.

Well, the American people - or at least a slim plurality of those who bothered to vote - decided they were fine with an insurrectionist felon. And here we are.
July 9, 2025 at 9:57 PM
That's what happens when the sulking American people - and particularly the whining non-voters - let a notorious Russian stooge become president again.

Rs are literally attacking Ds for not voting for things that aren't in their bill.
July 4, 2025 at 2:56 PM
And now the Social Security Administration sent out an official email declaring that benefits will no longer be taxed as a result of the bill - a lie, pushed simply to back up Trump's lie.
July 4, 2025 at 2:54 PM
NB the contrast between what the bill does and the R rhetoric about the ultimate conservative 'reforms.' Republican "Conservatism" just means killing people and ruining lives while further bloating the deficit with giveaways to the super rich and more money for mass deportations.
July 3, 2025 at 1:21 PM
And therefore there will be no more than 3 that hold out voting no.

That's how Rs work. However much a few of them posture and claim they'll hold out, they won't actually risk Trump not getting his July 4 signing ceremony. No more than 3 will end up voting no.

Passed July 2, 1776: "Resolved: That these United Colonies are and of right ought to be free and independent states; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British crown and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain is and ought to be totally dissolved."
July 2, 2025 at 7:32 PM
This is genuinely beautiful, and I love these people for doing this.

People will "get over" losing their health care, Mitch assures his colleagues.

Well, once they're dead, they won't complain about it.
June 27, 2025 at 4:54 PM
When the Senate passes its even deeper cuts to Medicaid and sends them back to the House, every one of those 16 Rs warning against doing it will vote to do it.

Count on it.
June 27, 2025 at 4:50 PM
This could be true. Iran itself seems worried by the impact of the strikes.

But we're in a moment where it simply isn't possible to see people like the CIA Director as anything but toadies saying what their master demands to hear. What he says may be true - but he'd say it even it weren't.
June 25, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Trump is a delusional fantasist? Why I'm shocked, shocked!
June 25, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Oh, dandy. No problem, ever again, because of one strike by Trump's mighty hand!

"We destroyed the nuclear." JFC.

June 25, 2025 at 3:24 PM
A "somewhat not much" violation. "The nuclear business."

Isn't it comforting having global life or death decisions in the hands of a total buffoon?
June 25, 2025 at 2:39 PM
An excellent point from an Israeli reporter, highlighting the fact that Netanyahu is frantically determined to maintain at least one permanent war to keep himself clinging to power.
June 25, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Even though this is obvious satire... I can absolutely imagine Trump saying this.
June 24, 2025 at 5:55 PM
As much as I hate Netanyahu, this misses the point. Iran had the MEANS to build multiple bombs the moment an order was given. Whether or not one agrees with military strikes as the answer, the idea that there wasn't any real threat because a "build it" order hadn't yet been given is just wrong.
