A sequel to Long Halloween, we see a lot of the unfinished threads fully explored. The “crazies” truly take control of crime in Gotham in this story and establish the status quo. Getting to see a young Dick Grayson settle grow into his role was also amazing.

What can I say about this that hasn’t already been said? Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb at their finest. The art is cartoonish but gritty, perfectly balanced The origin of Two Face, and truly shows how Batman goes from fighting gangs and mobs to the crazier side of Gotham. 10/10

A much needed telling of what Bruce did during his time training, covering every aspect of what defined Batman. It shows us how impatient a young Bruce is and slowly shapes and changes him into the Dark Knight. Zdarsky’s writing is great and Giandomenico’s art is perfect.

A much needed telling of what Bruce did during his time training, covering every aspect of what defined Batman. It shows us how impatient a young Bruce is and slowly shapes and changes him into the Dark Knight. Zdarsky’s writing is great and Giandomenico’s art is perfect.

A retelling of the first meeting of Batman and Joker it does a great job articulating that Gotham was and still is never ready for the Joker.The cat and mouse nature of Batman and Joker never gets old and to see it established is one to remember.Ed Brubaker kills it
