Yes indeed. Kingfishers in Quebec are brown/grey but the European kingfishers are like small jewels flying about. And do they fly by fast!

Reassuring to hear it took you two months. I have been stalking a kingfisher here in Cambridge UK for a couple of weeks and still am not satisfied with the photos so far. That being said, it is always a pleasure to see these lovely fellows.
