My first bottle of rose hip syrup! It's delicious as you'd expect. This is my third foraged syrup of the autumn- I've already done damson syrup and crabapple syrup. All a bit foraging bonkers this year.

This beauty is Blue For You - there are no really blue roses, just like there are no really blue chickens but you still get ones with "blue" in the name. I don't mind, I LOVE these purple flowers and she smells fantastic too. Just coming into bloom properly now.

The roses are really starting to get going now! This is westerland which is a gorgeous climber I have along a wall at the front. She has a fabulous and quite unusual colour which really lifts my heart and I'm ever so glad to see her return. She also smells lovely!

Madame Alfred Carriere is blooming. Now that is a proper name for a rose! She is a rampant climber and is thriving on my north-facing wall, where a lesser plant would struggle. I saw the huge one Vita Sackville-West planted a Sissinghurst on a north wall and copied her. She is thornless and lovely!

I'm a sucker for these love-heart petunias. I've got a load of them in pots out the front. They come in a variety of colours and I love them all, though to be fair I love all petunias without exception.
