Why is it only now the government says it is concerned about what’s going on in Gaza?

What the actual?

So Mr Starmer, you preside over a government which doesn’t condemn genocide, tries to erase trans people and wants to cut benefits to the vulnerable.

What part of “human rights lawyer” is the bit you don’t get?

In my formative years sci-fi was my obsession. Two heroes were Mr Sulu from Star Trek and Luke Skywalker.

It’s reassuring that @georgetakei.bsky.social and @markhamillofficial.bsky.social are brilliant in real life.

I understand that “Andor” has pissed off afew folk at the White House. Good!

After all they seem to think “The Handmaid’s Tale” is a plan for the future.

The so-called Labour government seems to have forgotten what the party is supposed to stand for.

Oprah. Shame on you!

I do wonder if the Republicans in the US thought “The Handmaid’s Tale” was a training video series.

All this anti-trans activity is hard for me to witness. When I came out in the 80s, anti-gay sentiment was high, fuelled by the press and government who introduced section 28.

What is happening now feels the same: an attempt to erase a group of society via press sensation and a bigoted government.

I used to be a huge Harry Potter fan. The books really resonated with me, the films were pure escapism and the franchise allowed me to release my inner child.
But it was all a lie. The writer is a totally evil person. Evil can only describe someone who actively seeks to harm a vulnerable group.

I think Katy Perry can no longer be considered an icon of any kind, let alone a gay icon.

There’s some nasty gays about. Yes I’m talking about Streeting….. among others.

So many people in the public eye who I have admired have proven to be unworthy of my admiration.

Absolutely gutted to hear of the passing of drag legend Maisie Trollette AKA David Raven.
I’ve been privileged to see her act many times over the years.
I was also fortunate to spend some quality time chatting when we were staying on the same resort.
A kind and really witty person. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

A mixed day. Eye test - I’m getting more short-sighted. Cannolo - yum! New computer - whoo! Angst about the future of the world - oh FFS!

Question: Has Nigel Farage held an MP’s surgery in his constituency yet? #justwondering

It has always struck me as odd that many Brits are obsessed with foreign influence in the UK. Generally this is confined to the EU.

This is a salient reminder that the USA is also a foreign country. The “special relationship” is one of the biggest gaslight jobs in history.

Would it be too much to say the current US government is an organised crime organisation? This considering the leader is a convicted felon who has issued threats and blackmail, plots territorial grabs and bullies the weak.

I’ve always struggled with describing something as“evil”. But sadly I’m getting a lot of opportunities to use it nowadays.

So TikTok is a threat to US security. But unelected millionaires with their own social media platform aren’t. And what about the president elect’s close relationship with Russia?

I heard or read that it is in our nature to assume that things will always improve, that progress is always in a forward direction. It doesn’t always happen that way.

They say that doing the right thing can be hard. Certainly saying goodbye to some of my friends on Meta has been hard. So far not a lot of them are on BSky.
