Calling on the federal government to take legal action, the Tigray Communication Bureau urged the EPA to retract the report, hold those responsible accountable, and adhere to accurate and lawful reporting in the future.

The bureau described the report as "not just an ordinary mistake but a deliberate constitutional violation" and demanded an immediate correction. It further warned that such actions undermine the Pretoria Agreement, which emphasizes peaceful resolution and respect for the constitution.

In an official statement, the bureau accused EPA’s Tigrinya Language Section of violating the constitution by reporting on the Gondar-Humera road project as a link between "two Amhara regions," implying Humera’s inclusion in Amhara.
