We are an end unit row home with poor attic insulation. I also have some servers running 24/7 that use a lot of electricity. I've been trying to shut down things I don't need 24/7 but I think it's still a lot. Last month was 1009 kwh and 67 therms.

I also just noticed that we somehow had Constellation for the past year for gas but this month it switched back to bge. We never signed up for Constellation but never noticed. My GF is in charge of the BGE bill so I normally don't pay much attention to it.

Sorry it took me so long to reply I forgot until I saw today's bill. This month $419.97 129 therm 806 kwh. Last year 891 kwh 102 therm

Could be. There a a big difference in energy usage with heat pumps depending on the outside temp and the specs of the unit and the charts are pretty hard to understand. I have a 19 seer2 heat pump that works down to something like -4 but the efficiency drops sharply in the 20's.

We do the same 68 or lower but we have a heat pump and a gas furnace. I've been experimenting with when to switch from heat pump to gas. Currently I think 35 outside is the temp that is best for us to switch to gas heat. Our bill has been ~$380 also. We don't have a gas stove just heat and dryer.
