Incredibly sad news. Knights Of was a trailblazer that discovered, took a chance on, and championed underrepresented voices in children’s publishing - an industry that loves its tokenism and tick-boxes and social-media-friendly projects and promises that crumble far too quickly. #KidLitUK

This theme from the book really got me 💛. Autistic kids aren’t a monolith. There’s no ONE autistic experience but that’s often what the media etc wants from those it decides are autistic “role models”. To represent everyone. As any marginalised person knows - it’s impossible.

When I wrote THIS IS WHO I AM a few years ago I didn’t know it’d be published at a time when anti-migrant rhetoric is at an all-time high in the UK. It breaks my heart to see it amplified across social media. But this is why empathy-boosting children’s books are so important.

Handed in book 2 of my Hari Kumar Ultimate Superstar series (book 1 is out Feb 2026). Had to tear myself in two to focus on writing it. And imposter syndrome hit HARD. Had to keep going back to my WHY and that’s always the readers I write for. Always.
