Huge thank-you to neighbors Adam and Ryan for opening their home and bringing together friends from across Ward 1. I’m grateful for the thoughtful questions, honest conversations about public safety and shared commitment to making sure our city’s fiscal decisions reflect our values.

I had the opportunity to tour our region’s incredible building trades training facility & learn firsthand about the union-certified apprenticeship programs offered by ironworkers, builders, painters, glassmakers — all members of UA, LIUNA, IUPAT, and IBEW. Thank you for the great tour!

It's hard to believe it’s been only 4 days since the kickoff! Three house parties & lots of great conversations since then. I love listening to residents’ concerns in these intimate settings and sharing my vision for Ward 1.

This week I joined the Howard University School of Social Work’s 90th Anniversary Celebration and a Delta Sigma Theta alumni meeting. Both reminded me of the power of community and how far I’ve come since that class graduation photo! Grateful for the journey. 💙🤍💙#BisonPride🦬
