There are thousands of Americans in Venezuela right now. Reportedly 4 have been detained by the government so far. Is this administration going to be dealing with a hostage crisis? Is this going to be like Iran all over again and Trump is Jimmy Carter? I think the Venezuelans may have some leverage.

The Venezuelan Constitution, specifically Article 233, states that if the president becomes permanently unable to serve during the first four years, new direct elections must be held within 30 consecutive days, with the vice president taking over as interim president until the new election.
