Chief among all is Masakaki, Hinako's staff—or shakujo, a Far Eastern relative of the cane or crook. Often ornate in appearance, they serve as an aid for rough terrain as much as a focus, and a decent bludgeon in clutch moments. 【1/2】

Realization, mostly!
Having borne witness to the early onset of the mod scene in Stormblood, I just thought it neat to realize aspects of my characters beyond the game's own limits. That's the most basic root of it all.

On the topic still of 1.0, maybe one of the funniest things to happen from it was Travanchet, an Elezen who was actually an Ascian, stealing a mcguffin from Y'shtola and not showing up again in person; it's revealed much later that he gave it to Mide, thus kicking off the whole Alexander plot.
