We don’t want their plans thwarted. We want their policies on full display and their voters to feel the pain they hoped to inflict on others… otherwise we just go back to stagnation and obstruction. We need the tide to turn significantly for a shift back to progressivism.

Honestly, and I hate to say it, but we needed this. We needed the effects of conservative activism to be felt once they have the keys to all branches because before they just stalled and blocked keeping status quo. Now they get to be the regressive trolls they are and their voters will feel it.

I’ll let the Ivy Leagues know they need to admit everyone who applies regardless of aptitude or ability so that Bhad Bhabie is the one who handles your open heart surgery. You realize society is vast and comprised of many exclusive circles? Something isn’t inherently evil because you don’t qualify.

Also to the point, I’ve been in both academic and Mensa circles and neither is inherently special. It’s the connections you make within. I’ve met cool people and insufferable people alike in both. Maybe I should start talking shit about the Prometheus Society since I can’t get in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve seen 1,000x more people indiscriminately shitting on people who join Mensa completely unprovoked than smug members waving their membership card in people’s faces. That reeks of insecurity. People seek out and join for their own reasons. Nobody cares if you join or not.

I don’t understand how someone’s worldview is so narrow that they believe everyone has equal access to academia, itself often exclusive typically by socioeconomic status. It’s hilarious that the right looks at academia as elitist and here you are doing the same to a benign social club.
