As a parent of a 9 year old and a 19 year old (long story, neither are biological). I find the differences in generations astounding. Im a younger Gen X, and I was raised by late stage Boomers. It wasnt the happy huggy childhood kids today want. It was about doing what needs to be done, no excuses.

Also.. im not anti veteran. I support them wholeheartedly. Im a Navy Brat who couldn't join for medical reasons (and I looked for loopholes).

Was just at the doctors with my nephew... he's 20 years younger than me. When it was taking a long time, he actually got up and asked the receptionist how long it would be. It made me realise I would never do that. I would just sit there and wait because "experience".
