Raga Appreciation Society at Durham (RASAD)
@rasadurham.bsky.social
Founded in 2022, we are a music society at Durham University aiming to spread interest in South Asian sounds and music cultures.
With summer vacations 🌞 🌊 🏔️ 🌈 knocking on our doors, what better way to celebrate than an interactive session led by Sai Sanjay, a Carnatic vocalist and a master’s student in the departments of Physics and Mathematical Sciences, on the Melakarta system of raga classification in the Carnatic canon?
