This morning I got out the original copy of the Daily Mirror from 8 May 1945 my grandparents saved. It's yellow and damaged from folds and age, but the cartoon resonates. "Don't lose it again."

Today I am remembering my grandfather, who kept this with his important paperwork until his death in 2002. #VEDay
