I'm Katja! [ˈkatʲə], as in Ка́тя. "a catdragon", but actually an affront to ontology itself.

Allegedly a lawyer, too, according to some.
Spent far too long on this, but I think I've kinda sorta figured out:
1. What the other pair of antlers should look like.
2. How their lighting &c. should change when they're Like This™.

This is still probably my favourite fursuit photo I've ever taken so far?

I'm pretty impressed with this photo I took a few weeks back — though maybe not *as* impressed as I was with the rail network there.

I'm not dunking on any (really metal, honestly!) aesthetic trends in fatal vore here, but whenever I see the *term* "bone bulge", exactly one thing comes to mind:

To give you all a tiny preview of the photos I've taken in the past week:

*This* dark pattern here is just diabolical. Forcing you to do odd, counterintuitive UI interactions to prevent your phone from completely clogging up your Google account storage and thus pressuring you into paying for more.

Come *on*.

It's not a *real* airport unless it has the world's tiniest forest inside it. :/

What's your sign?

I'm done!

…this part of it. Which is basically enough to let me determine what climates would exist where, and let me kinda figure out what cultures, so on, would be like based on that!

So, this is kinda significant-ish??

…here, have some stuff that's further into thirst trap territory. ✨

"why do you always include a gratuitous mawshot whenever you post photos of Eva"

Wait, what? I do? No, I'd never. :\\

Oh c'mon, you *know* he has a moose fursuit with those digitigrade stilt-legs and a Thunderbirds varsity jacket and he's *extremely* ready to start attending cons again after over a decade away from the con scene. I can't wait to drunkenly argue about geopolitics with him at VF next year.

t h e r e .

Very rough "sketches" of what climates go where, in the roughest sense. I just kinda used more or less Wikipedia's key for the Trewartha system, if you're trying to parse this.

Definitely more crude than I'd like, but it's really just supposed to be a starting point!

So it turns out I was able to find a much better way of conveying temperature × precipitation! Green is precipitation, magenta is temperature. Also messed around a bit with blend modes (…or a lot, really) get this to actually look good and be legible.

Trying to plot out where various climates should go is. Well. A lot.

…even once this is done, it's still going to be a bit on the vibes-based side and not remarkably Accurate™, but it's at least going to be vaguely believable and naturalistic, I guess??

Making more (slow) progress! Summer then winter. (The planet has global seasons, not hemispheric ones, due to orbital distance from the star *its* star orbits being the main variable in its weather cycles.)

The chicken and waffles I just made (with the fried chicken I made last night) is really bloody good, hff. Heck.

…you've just reminded me of how the Chargers on the Cascades look in context, and:

The odd-looking locomotive and that "transition" car that slightly mismatches the locomotive in every possible way is *remarkable*.
August 10, 2025 at 6:25 PM
I've currently got kinda the opposite of that! Thinking a fairly non-extreme axial tilt, and the equator is mostly ocean:

At least with the ~simulation~ I've been doing so far, high enough continental altitudes have led to kinda the balance I'm looking for?

This still has to be the funniest (derogatory) emoji ever, lmao. Absolutely unparalleled.
August 3, 2025 at 8:08 AM
oh my god oh my god oh my fucking gOD,

I've finally managed to reproject this fucking map to *something*. (With the help of a plugin that helped me not have to deal with QGIS's georeferencer directly.)
