Oh c'mon, you *know* he has a moose fursuit with those digitigrade stilt-legs and a Thunderbirds varsity jacket and he's *extremely* ready to start attending cons again after over a decade away from the con scene. I can't wait to drunkenly argue about geopolitics with him at VF next year.

Very rough "sketches" of what climates go where, in the roughest sense. I just kinda used more or less Wikipedia's key for the Trewartha system, if you're trying to parse this.
Definitely more crude than I'd like, but it's really just supposed to be a starting point!

So it turns out I was able to find a much better way of conveying temperature × precipitation! Green is precipitation, magenta is temperature. Also messed around a bit with blend modes (…or a lot, really) get this to actually look good and be legible.

Making more (slow) progress! Summer then winter. (The planet has global seasons, not hemispheric ones, due to orbital distance from the star *its* star orbits being the main variable in its weather cycles.)

I've currently got kinda the opposite of that! Thinking a fairly non-extreme axial tilt, and the equator is mostly ocean:
