Severe cognitive dysfunction (brain fog, difficulty concentrating)

Relief: Symptoms are not relieved by rest and can persist for days, weeks, or even longer and over time repeated physiological crashes can lower a #pwME’s #PEM threshold and become rolling PEM.

Fatigue
Definition: A general feeling of extreme tiredness, lack of energy, a/o lack of motivation for daily activities.
Triggers: Typically caused by exertion, such as after a workout or a long day.
Relief: Usually relieved by rest.
Symptoms: Primarily involves feelings of tiredness, lack of energy

The key differences are that PEM involves a delayed, prolonged worsening of a spectrum of symptoms (including flu-like feelings, brain fog, and pain) that can last for days or weeks, whereas typical fatigue is often limited to exhaustion from a single activity and is usually relieved by rest.

I knew the Katz house would be busy, but wow what a weekend you all had! Staying out in Fly Creek, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the Induction activities, even getting soaked then roasted on Sunday. Parker's poem was perfect.
