I get what you're saying and it's not without merit but it's also not completely accurate. Games had plenty of issues back then and the only way to patch them was to update them for future copies, the copies already in circulation were just f'd.

That's fair, really hoping they have one to announce in the near future, it's not quite a Nintendo system without a new Mario game. ;)

That depends on what games you're interested in. Thinking just exclusives there's already announcements for DK Bananza, Hyrule Warriors, and Kirby Air Riders. Switch 2 Editions announced for Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Legends ZA, Rune Factory, Shadow Labyrinth and Elden Ring among others.
