I became a U.S. citizen yesterday after 30 years of living in this country (I am 31). I immediately got a shady congrats from a Republican talking about how this country was built on law & order and patriotism. No sir, you will not weaponize my citizenship --I'm gonna make even more trouble now 🥰

I’m getting tired of white folks framing immigration as “who is going to clean your house and take care of you garden” (literally heard this on CNN today.) How about we refer to Brown folks as our neighbors, coworkers, community members and friends.

It’s mostly white people who talk about echo chambers. Maybe you need the internet to meet people with different ideas but the rest of us do not. We know what the “other side” thinks because we deal with it every day! Everywhere! We’re fine. Carry on. Happy Saturday!
