This was exactly how I felt on them before Elden Ring. I only got into that one because of some minor lore spoilers and I looked up a build guide before starting lol. For me, I played too many get good online multiplayer games that usually what I wanted in a single player game was a break from that.

Just to throw my two cents in here, I think you are dead on the money with Veilguard. I posted on your review of it too, but after playing it I'm glad I did. The problem with it is the first 10 hours are rough, so I get why so many didn't make it there. But overall it is a solid game, just not GOTY.

Ooo I'll have to check that out. I generally like both of your reviews so Dragon Age has definitely kept my feeling up in the air.

Thanks for the write-up, Paul! I'm a long-time Bioware fan so I knew I had to play this one but Skill Up's review had me worried. I guess I'll have to see for myself but your tips seem genuinely helpful and make me less concerned about the combat.
