“Close examination finds no evidence of safety risks for single-stairway buildings with sprinklers…fire death rates in modern single-stairway 4-6 story apartment buildings in New York City were no different from those in other residential buildings”

As a kid, I used to look at LA retail spaces from the 70’s/80’s & think, “why would anyone use glass block?”

Now that I’m an architect, I look at projects like these & understand it’s really about the talent of the designer & contractor. I’d love to see glass block used more. #architecture #design

I still don’t understand the argument against building the “15-minute city”. Everyone (rich, poor, young, and old) should be able to have walking access to the spaces that enrich our lives.

I’m a huge fan of Kevin Tsai Architects. They’ve been doing a lot of affordable housing using Los Angeles’ Executive Directive 1 (ED1).

Their designs are extremely creative. Here are a few of my favorites:

The whole fit is impeccable, but I really appreciate the proportions of these pants by Diogo Duarte.

Iranian Multi-Family Architecture is so good!

This building (The Darya) is located in Tehran & is designed by Hooba.

Design-wise, I appreciate the effort in trying to reflect light into the interior spaces using the copper paneling. Also, I love the spacious floor plan layouts as well.
