Almost retired bookseller. Likes books, bikes and people who make the world better.
The attacks on ZP and the Greens are wholly predictable: not serious, student politics, will crash the economy etc. But none of the experts care to remember that the economy crashed under the current orthodoxy, and trillions were conjured up to bail it out.

How dare she , with no experience either professionally or personally, judge other people's conditions as 'low level'. Utterly shameful and unworthy of anyone in public life.

Under the current economic orthodoxy, there was economic collapse in 2008, which took a massive bail out to rescue it. The trillions raised then came from where, exactly? And what lessons were learned? Simple questions for you to answer before you write off alternatives

You'd think he could afford another 6 inches on those trousers..

That's a nice collection 😀

Said it many times, never heard him say an intelligent thing. He's right less often than a stopped clock.

I think it's a distraction (not necessarily deliberate) from the Russian question, which is currently far more pressing and should be the focus of media attention on Reform generally and Farage in particular.

Ah right... that's ok then, I'll choose!

Always worth making that point though!

Getting really confused now, are we in the grip of full on socialism or looking at a new Conservative dawn?
November 27, 2025 at 6:42 PM
I agree the Russia thing should be everywhere, but I'm a bit more hopeful - I think the accumulation of negative stories is beginning to tell. Also feels like Kruger is the only MP they are letting out of the box at the moment

Laughable. We've had 40 years of neo liberalism, a doctrine of the right, dominating economics, a culture war fought by billionaire owned media for the right and absolutely zero years of socialism.
November 27, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Yep, agreed!
November 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM
True, which is why I wish the press & opposition would concentrate at least as much on the Russian thing, potentially more damaging for all those ' patriots ' ...

We knew before COVID, when the banks were bailed out. So many lessons we fail to learn from, mostly because it suits the powerful.

About 50 years ago I was taken to Henley Regatta by a friend. There were loads of old boys squeezed into their blazers,so it must have been a thing, at least back then. Does it still happen?
November 25, 2025 at 9:44 PM
It should be so easy to take down Farage and Reform: the Russia connection, historic racism, absenteeism, the many jobs while being an MP, the dodgy house purchase. And yet... he's still getting a free pass from much of the media and MPs.
