Even better, don't sample it, but buy the physical media and listen to it as God intended. Best thing I listened to in 2025, utterly beautiful (and I'd never heard of Louis Philippe until that point)

Would you be willing to see the CC played during the Hundred?

I couldn't agree more. Just discovered and thoroughly enjoying your podcasts too

The late period live recordings are absolutely wonderful

I agree. Sussex have what they need. Assuming Hants win, then the worst case, abd highly unlikely, scenario is that Yorkshire take full bonus points and yet still somehow contrive to lose. They'd be on 154, meaning, we'd need 155 (3 more). (I think that's right)

Love Paul Butterfield, East-West, ah
August 29, 2025 at 5:50 PM
I liked him: willing, hits the deck, 27.41 avg in first spell (for 24 wickets) would be handy, key role in our terrific victory at Blackpool, but would like a few more runs this time.

Tbf, we've been pretty good against teams whose name begins 'Su'. And we definitely need to be in our next Champo game

Very, very good news

Think re-electing Trump will trump (sorry) it

Thank you Philippe, and for the Arthur Verocai recommendation

If you're in the vicinity, do yourself a favour and go. I am abroad and cannot, so I will content myself with the recently-discovered and purchased Thunderclouds and The Road to the Sea, both bloody marvellous.

I like this new T12 format
July 6, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Yeah, I'm sure they don't
June 30, 2025 at 3:20 PM
If they had anything about them, they'd cancel this experiment (which completely ignores the fact that English pitchescare not Australian ones) and revert to the Dukes.

I read and thoroughly enjoyed your book a few years ago, so I know it's not such a bad place to be.

Intend to return to that and related others by Ian Ridley and Duncan Hamilton if I make my dotage
June 29, 2025 at 11:38 AM
It'll never happen, but I'd go back to 2 divisions of 9, 16 games, play during August, Hundred players won't be available, manage it!
June 29, 2025 at 11:29 AM
You have more than done your bit and are a very important voice for what I am sure is the many of us who despair at the county game's direction of travel.

The ECB waffle about greater equality and inclusivity, but remove opportunities by shrinking it.

Cox's injury was the reason we lost to Somerset imo.

Strange season: should have won that game, couldn't force wins from good positions vs Surrey twice & Notts.

We're not that far off, but the even thinner squad this season is really biting
June 28, 2025 at 6:34 PM
We like a left-handed opener. Wasn't he on our radar before Elgar signed? Might indicate that Elgar, with new family and diminishing runs, is ready to call time.

Or maybe they want PW to bolster middle order competition - atm, there is none.

Don't care for de Caires.

Ofc, may be pie in the sky

Good for you Grumbler, but what a brainless start
June 23, 2025 at 10:21 AM
Hants isn't it?
June 18, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Browne for Das I hope, Allison to 4
May 15, 2025 at 5:15 PM
No, it's perfect as it. Leave it the fuck alone
