Maybe because asking for affordable rent, taxing the top 1% more and having a reasonable minimum wage is less controversial than stepping out of the EU, getting rid of the Euro, closing borders and seeking a closer partnership with Putins Russia.

How are Americans not on the streets over this? Should the German chancellor say something even close to this, the streets would be on fire. Americans have to decide what side of history they are on.
