Coach Abe asked us to bring 1000 friends to the game Sunday, and I confess, that task's a bit intimidating, but here goes Dawg fans: Come support our undefeated Lady Dawgs as they take on Ga Tech Sunday. These young women are serious competitors & the games are a blast! #UGA #WBB #GoDawgs !

Are we confused? A bit, but for now we’ll just keep blooming where we’re planted. 🌼🤷‍♀️🍂

I believe this game was the last time we were allowed to take the field. And a fan stole Bear Bryant's signature hat.

Someone mentioned that blueberries were finicky. Not really here in the Ga Piedmont . With all our oaks & pines, the soil pH seems to be just right and there are varieties cultivated for our climate. A bit of fertilizer & an annual trim is about all I do for them. #gardening

Walked down to check out the garden, coffee cup in hand, & was surprised to find the blueberries were ripe. I quickly finished my bev & filled the mug to overflowing with berries. Then, not wanting to walk back up to the house for a larger container, filled my tum as well.

Well, the air hasn't been too friendly today - so much particulate matter from the wildfires that I've had to retreat inside. But it's been a great weekend with extended family - gorgeous sunrises, long beach walks, good food, and lots of laughs. Hope the wind changes, but no regrets #beach #clouds

But they timed their transit just right for us early risers.

Oh, and I went out early to catch the sunrise, but worried it was going to be the Marta bus all over again ( #Atlanta reference) #Tybee #sunrise

I saw this pic yesterday of the Memphis bridge. My heart skipped & I thought - Go! which is funny since we’ve only been home a few weeks, but we flew west this year instead of driving. As long and at times tedious as that drive can be, we’ve seen so much and had so many great adventures on the road.

I'm surprised not to see Little Brown Jug in native plant offerings because it's such a lovely and tidy plant. I imagine it grows too slowly to gain much interest in nurseries, but I find it works well both in the leaf litter and in more tended areas . Seen here with bonus Stokes Aster & butterfly.

I thought I'd catch a shot of the turtles popping their heads up in the water, but they were too shy. Instead, I almost caught this swallow. @theineptbirder.bsky.social
