This means that there will be more people being paid. More people happy and with more money being circulated. That means it’s more likely for staff to come back and shop in your store.

Australia is a small country town when it comes to retail.

Staff. Yea. I get they are burnt out. So get more staff. There should be redundancy. I would expect at least double the total amount of staff.

And here is the thing. More staff in checkouts mean people get served quicker. There is less pressure on servers and if you think about it. ….

Have more staff. Big retailers in Australia have run on skeleton crews for way too long. Checkouts and service desk people have what 1 or 2 staff now a days. Leaving 8 checkouts permanently closed. A deli (if the store still has it) has maybe a total of 3…

When going overseas like to Thailand. Most shops in Bangkok are open from 10 am to 10pm 7 days a week.

People want Australia to be a destination for travellers but look at when we close.

Problem is. When you suggest the stores stay open you ALWAYS get a response that retailers want to go home…

… and supermarkets get earlier opening and usually til 8 or 9 pm from Monday to Friday.

My problem is. I work from Monday to Friday. Similar times to the times shops are open (at least the 9 til 5:30 times. And before I continue I will say. Yes I have worked in retail.
