Can I ask why you think the genre is ready for another moment? I'm trying to sell my first novel, a hardboiled detective mystery, and there don't seem to be a lot of recent entries.

I was scared by Cat People when I was about ten. I’m not sure that was the first - I saw Ghandi at about that time, and also The Sword and the Sorcerer, and was not bothered by either.

Shoot. I prefer trade paperbacks to mass-market, but I just bought a copy a couple of months ago.
