They were named winners of the New York Times’ 100-Word Narrative Contest— all from Ms. Olivia Foster’s 21st Century Global Issues & Literature courses at PCEP.

Today I stood alongside survivors, students, parents, and advocates to say: enough is enough.

Let me be clear: you can’t say you care about families while repealing the laws that keep them alive.

Today, we saw yet another page from the GOP extremist agenda that aims to divide Michiganders & tear families apart. Speaker Hall’s silence is deafening. While Republicans are busy looking backwards, House Dems are looking forward to actually helping people & providing relief.

Michigan families shouldn’t have to wonder if their healthcare, childcare, or schools will stay open. Trump’s reckless funding freeze creates chaos for working people while the wealthy remain untouched.

Michigan families are depending on us. We must move forward with urgency & responsibility.
