Separate NAS hardware at least in the consumer market is nothing special. You pay for the ready to go experience and the software to manage the NAS.
If it was a small windows PC I would say use it with something like Unraid or TrueNAS. But on macOS I have no clue how good the software is for a NAS.

More and more I get to the conclusion that keeping away from social media would benefit my overall happiness.

Nur für Neukunden? Hatte vor Jahren bereits heise+, hatte es aber nach einiger Zeit (~ 1 Jahr) wieder gekündigt weil es nicht ganz meinen Erwartungen entsprach. Jetzt mit dem Angebot wollte ich es nochmal testen aber ich kann das nicht in Anspruch nehmen weil ich bereits einen Testzeitraum hatte.

While I don’t comment on YouTube ever I would still appreciate if you would just display the conversion to Celsius in the picture. But you know best how many of your viewers come from a ‘Celsius’ country and if it’s worth the effort.

Looking from the outside on the US I always felt like Americans in general say they’re from Chicago, Boston, LA, etc even when they are not from that city but from the greater area of that city.
And to be honest I think it’s reasonable considering everyone knows these major cities.

Based on your software engineer background you should create some integration like green light when the print finished or flashing red if the print failed or there is an error. That would be cool.

Ich wollte eigentlich meine absoluten Lieblingsserien als Blu-ray holen um die immer gucken zu können unabhängig von Streaming-Anbietern, wo Serien auch mal verschwinden. Jetzt frage ich mich wie man zukünftig noch Filme und Serien wirklich besitzen kann wenn das so weitergeht.

It would annoy me for a service very long, maybe 6 weeks. Than a couple weeks nothing and then it starts again with a different service being discontinued. At some point it annoyed me so much I disconnected it.

I disconnected my last Samsung TV from the Internet when it started notifying me about services being discontinued. Every time the TV started you got that notification although I’ve acknowledged it every time.

I’m not an expert on that legal stuff but I would assume Lego could make a claim with the domain registry for trademark infringement and get the domain for free if they want it. Or what would happen if Lego was interested in your domain?

I prefer having the smart stuff in a separate device. I don’t need and want to replace the whole TV just because the TV software won’t get updates anymore or an app I want isn’t available. Also with a new TV I keep my familiar interface.

If you leave early you just end parking and you just pay the actual parking time. But you can also extend parking with the app. But the point is, this app is just optional.

You once register with the app add your license plate to the app and if you park somewhere you just open the app it detects your parking zone by GPS and you just set a time how long you want to park like you would with the classic parking meter.

This doesn’t even looks well made. In my area where I live in Germany we have classic parking meters where you can pay with cash or credit card. But optional you can use the easypark app. www.easypark.com/en-de

I don’t mind if they offer ordering and paying by app optional but I don’t want to have an account and an app with every place where I go maybe once in a lifetime or even rarely. It’s just inconvenient.

Your restaurant is a good example of an experience I had. I was at a burger place and the only way to order there was by downloading their app create an account and order with the app.
