Basically, actors etc can’t work without an agency, legally & logistically. Her agency dropped her, so she can’t work on anything & Toei can’t have her continue on the show or use anything of her after her contract ended.
(Toei is def not perfect, but the agency is the big problem out of the two)

The bulk of the blame goes to her agency for not supporting her with abuse in the press this past year & choosing to terminate her contract for the drinking. Toei had no choice - an actor can’t work without an agency, so Toei we’re legally forced to remove her since her contract couldn’t continue 🫤

They would’ve finished shooting by the time of this live show (likely only the finale to be aired at that time.)
I think it’s very unlikely that they’ll just have no cast at all on the Sentai day, so they may just be holding back on the exact info for now until things are ironed out & calmed down.

Yep. There’s no issue with very young women doing lots of really, really skimpy gravure photos, but simply having a drink a few months too young? Career destroyed. The Japanese entertainment world, especially talent agencies - crazy.

Not that I remember off the top of my head. There have been male toku actors that have done worse and they haven’t gotten fired or reprimanded.
It seems like Maya’s agency in particular is extremely strict - that’s why Toei was legally forced to thoroughly remove her.
