They will learn your routine. Mine know when I go to bed, when I get up, when I leave to work, when I'm supposed to be home. They know when they're supposed to be fed and they will remind you.

3 out of 4 of my cats use the cat fountain. The 4th prefers a measuring cup in the bathroom. Lol.

My mom has COPD, asthma, and emphysema, and was just diagnosed with lung cancer. She's currently in the hospital with covid. I have to constantly remind her to wear a mask, and so do her doctors.
