It's incredible just how committed Youtube as an organization is to ruining the default user experience, 360p in theater mode with that godawful new player UI. At this point I make sure to play all my stuff in the highest possible resolution just to cost them more bandwidth for the sheer gall of it

Thinking about the insane wastefulness of containerization solutions like docker. ~161 TB downloaded of a single image (among thousand) in a single week and the methodology with these tools is basically downloading the same thing every single time you use or deploy it, a la NPM.
