These are qualities that have been the essence of humanity's traditional attempts to better itself, (and often match traditional religious and patriotic values.) Hold onto the dwindling faith that the resilience & resolve of humanity might logically cause the pendulum to swing back asap.

I hate character limits... Here's the FB post divided in two: Driven by the intention of hurtful divisiveness and demonization, an attempt is being made to dismantle and destroy intellectualism, art, intelligence, culture, science, tolerance, humor, equality, kindness and tastefulness.

Remember NOT having unceasing assaults on intelligence, compassion, art, culture, peace and prosperity? Yeah, those days were fun.

Tough to define some of the divide in the US, but one apparent truth is that many of us realize and accept our role in promoting a common good for the citizens of the world, vs. the protectionist, Jingoistic, short-sightedness of the "America First" folks. Wishing the best for all of us.
