I just bought it the day before yesterday!

Very beautiful and super cool idea, I hope the game makes you loads of money.

Just came to tell you I bought Straftat on your recommendation, and my friend and I have been loving it. 22 hours and counting so far.

It really does feel like, "and then there's this other shit to make it all work, here you go"

1,2,4 look nice, but 3 has too much shine. Looks like the road is covered in dried up olive oil.

I was trying to learn how to use JS, and an error came up. I asked Copilot and it gave suggestions, of which none worked. I then showed it to a programmer that was familiar with JS, and we troubleshooted the issue within 5 minutes. It was super simple, and the AI had no clue.

Doesn't bode well.

Is this actually true or just memeing?

How was that the confusing part?

You might be interested in Intel's PresentMon tool. They're doing pretty groundbreaking stuff in frametime analysis with "animation error" as a metric. It literally measures the variance in animation time steps from frame to frame.

Do you have an example of a movie you think was lit/graded poorly as influenced by the introduction of digital color correction? I'm thinking through movies I remember, and I wouldn't say colors are worse now than before, just different because of film vs. digital.

On occasion, I revisit this 1999 TV horror movie that had low quality CGI for the time even, but something about it is more unsettling than more correct looking stuff today. I wish a horror game would be made in this visual style today.

This one's very literal.

Very funny, but also a very good illustration of the concept!

Hardware Unboxed is just so ridiculously thorough in everything they do. It's one of the main reasons why I watch Digital Foundry and HUB. It really feels like issues that publications like IGN would call "weird tech gremlins" or something, you both tend to fully investigate and find the cause for.

Lord of the rings cyclers, namely the blue and black ones.

Troll is just a surprisingly good reanimation target, and Lorien Revealed is the 25th most played card in vintage according to MTGGoldFish.

Please, please play the DLC as well. It is well worth it, and I am definitely in the better-than-base-game camp.

I'm supposed to believe the US didn't warn ByteDance of exactly which companies are impacted, AND that ByteDance didn't educate themselves enough to anticipate that TikTok wouldn't be the only one exposed.

It's not like the law says, "Ban only TikTok", there's no way they're pikachu facing rn

Were you joking and I just couldn't tell?

Stop. You said "nobody believed it"

Here's a 700 upvote reddit thread on r/hardware from when the 40-series was announced expressing disappointment that the 4070 Ti would match the 3090 Ti.

Saying "nobody believed it" is absurd.

3090. The card that was only about 13% faster than the 3080. "Nobody believed" the 4070 Ti could beat a 3080 by 13%?

Why are you bullshitting?

Jacqueline Sweet did a deep dive article on who Adrian Dittman actually is. He's just some guy from Fiji with rich parents that also love Musk.

That's like saying your girlfriend is a hypocrite because she makes AI art, but for some reason she gets angry when you make AI art with her face in it.

It sounds like they're angry because of the feelings of identity theft.
