Finally read the paper and 100% agree to all of this. It’s Manksi suggesting pollsters use the Manski bounds (shocking) which are useless in the polling context!

Could you impute the missing/might be 0 vector from fully observed cases who have similar pattern of yes responses for the observed time points?

Zoom option also benefits students who can’t physically attend a class for other reasons thus increasing accessibility. It’ll be my forever option too! (And when I did it in Autumn I still had excellent in class attendance which I know is a concern for some instructors.)
