Ok so parrying kinda breaks Clair Obscure I’m ngl lol. Most of the enemies I’m fighting are giving out 500-800 exp and then I fight a boss in a cave that gives 60,000 that I beat by just parrying them the entire time

Loving Expedition so far but I definitely have nitpicks. The biggest is that the cutscene audio is 0.25-0.5 seconds delayed and it’s VERY noticeable, also the mixing is strange bc the music is way too loud in cutscenes to the point where it drowns out dialogue and detail.

Just rolled credits on Returnal still gonna get the final ending tho so probably far from done. Sick game, some itemization problems and the length of runs feels too time consuming, but overall a stellar game with a great fractured narrative

I will say they are fucking cooking with this central mystery, definitely got me hooked
Beat Nemesis on my first try, wasn’t the hardest boss but holy fuck that spectacle felt like a Sony Santa Monica game bro wtf… Returnal might not have amazing roguelite mechanics but it’s still firing on all cylinders

I also played through Returnal, did 2 runs and beat the first area with a super scuffed run lol, really fucking with the energy here and I can tell I’ll be addicted. Roguelites bring out the demon in me ngl

Did another ending for Silent Hill 2, “In Water”, and while thematically it works a lot and keeps the melancholy more than “Leave”, I felt the cutscene direction was not nearly as good and kinda sapped some of the emotion out of it compared to “Leave” which had me a lil misty eyed
