Wow, good reminder to not renew Post subscription and to work hard to never again buy anything from Amazon.

Resign and apologize.

The fuck is wrong with heteronormative? Somehow people on the right can say whatever they want, but people whose lived experience every goddamned day is being framed as “other” don’t matter? It takes a person of good will about a nanosecond to understand this term. Others were never on our side.

Now is a good time to recall that there are legions of people and bots in Russia, Iran, China, and Venezuela whose job it is to try to sow division and hatred in the US. Been that way since the KGB was sending threatening letters to African diplomats posing as KKK.

God this is stupid. Who thought this was a good idea? What even is the policy pitch here — save the environment by building more $75K trucks full of blood lithium?

Have skimmed RFK’s Fauci book, I can’t believe that the New Yorker published this. It’s impossible to honestly conclude that book is anything other than an ideological attempt to twist evidence and facts to fit a preconceived narrative after reading more than 2 pages.

“…roughly 20% of American Jews (the margin of error was plus or minus 3.9%) said that Israel cannot be both, and that it should be a democratic state rather than a Jewish state—an answer that might be considered a non- or anti-Zionist position….

Are 95% of Jews Really Zionists?
Polls of American Jewish opinion on Israel may not be asking the right questions.

If you’re looking for a more nuanced treatment rather than just comfortable propaganda, you should read this:

You mean this Pew Research poll?
“Among Jewish adults, 54% say they have a favorable view of the Israeli government, while 44% take an unfavorable view.”

1. Views of the Israel-Hamas war
Most Americans say Israel’s reasons for fighting Hamas are valid, but their views of how Israel has conducted the war are more divided.

Your weird, false equivalence of segregation and Zionism indicates that you’re engaged entirely in propaganda, not honest discussion.

This assertion is flatly, factually wrong. A significant percentage of Israelis, both academics and the general population, are extremely critical of Zionism, particularly the current Gush Emunim flavor. Likewise, very many young American Jews are skeptical of the Zionist project.

If you visit Israel, you’ll hear a great deal of criticism of Zionism from Jews from all across the religious spectrum, from secular to Nuterei Karta.

Accuracy matters. Stating that “corruption REQUIRES explicit quid pro quo” is imprecise and inaccurate. Who REQUIRES? The constitution? Wrong (Art. I, Sec. 9, Cl. 8). Federal bribery law? IMMAL, but while 18 U.S.C. § 201(b) requires quid pro quo, (c) explicitly does not.

Neville Clinton declares that there will be “peace in our time.” Disgusting.

The arrogance and ignorance of that UCF economist is a great example of why Canadians should avoid the US. Framing reluctance to travel to a country that threatens Canada as “punishing yourself” says it all.
