As I understand it, motor oil degrades over time. The parts of it that lubricate and work may not work as they should if it’s too old.

If he negotiated 150 appearances a year that’s 3 a week, which is what he’d been doing for ages anyway. Take holiday time, Dead tours and Lacrosse, he’d be on more than usual at that number. Just, please, don’t use Samson to fill in for him.

The hand pass, as it’s used now, is a big part of the current problems with the game in my opinion. Having to switch hands or hand passing straight from the hurley would have stopped a lot of it and meant more striking. It would have stopped bunching and opened up the game.

Devils advocate: aren’t they already kind of skewed with the steroids era? And sports evolve too over time. All sports. I tried to get into baseball over the last few years but it’s very slow.

I kind of like it. Makes decision making harder. When do you use it? Do you use it? Is your usual batter in a slump? Do you try to hit home or get on base? It’d really build tension in close games. Bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, swap in your best hitter as they bring in their closer.
