Thanks for the catch. For whatever reason, I had a mental block and kept typing “Armstrong” when writing the review. I thought I’d caught them all, but apparently a couple slipped through.

The reasoning behind the film is bizarre. "We need to clarify what's going on in this series whose early episodes painstakingly establish the concepts and characters... by plunking the viewer right into a badly-edited action sequence with no hint about what's happening."

It's worth a curiosity viewing. I honestly expected it to be painful to watch, but it reminded me how much I enjoyed the early part of "Macross." That first 10 minutes, in particular, must have been massively confusing to new viewers, though.
