She was a “Valide Sultan” and a regent between 1623-1633 and then again between 1648-1651 this for her grandson. That 9 year period was when he was Mother Queen, before being sidelined by her son Murat IV. Assassination happened in 2 Sep 1651 when she was Great Mother Queen. One of a kind woman.
