I have two modes when reading books:

1) Read 1-2 chapters, put down and never read again.

2) Nose in, can’t put the book down until finished.

“The Housemaid” by Freida McFadden definitely falls into the second category. I just found it while browsing Winners and could not put it down.

What a fun concept! The main concern I have at the moment is that some of the colour schemes are extremely low contrast - especially white text against this pale green colour, which makes it hard to see the UI.

Making Nanaimo bars didn’t go as well as previous attempts. I think using too much coconut made them crumbly. Hopefully learned my lesson for next time. 😅

I just completed Wilmot Works it Out and really enjoyed it. I like how it lifts some elements from Wilmot's Warehouse and turns them into a (imo) cozier, more relaxing puzzle-solving environment. I highly recommend it. store.steampowered.com/app/2060590/...

I made potato wedges today using avocado oil, truffle salt, seasoning salt and pepper. Haven't tried it yet, but it does smell good.
