The unfortunate thing about this ‘tourist situation’, is that as bad as it is in areas and as shitty as some tourists are — something I have witnessed first-hand — locals can also be rude as FUCK. And when that energy is deservedly returned, then it’s still ‘tourists are bad’.

I’m always sceptical of coverage where there is one specific thing and multiple outlets say the EXACT same thing about it. Not to say that it can’t be true and multiple people can’t have the same opinion. But I question it every time when it happens.
