Australia's public health system is imperfect, but covers everyone, regardless of age.

The total cost to state/national govs is less than 25% of total revenue. Personal income tax is about 25% of gross pay. Multiply those two together and you have just under 6% of gross pay spent on healthcare.

It gets even more confusing when Australia also has Medicare - and it's the name of our universal system.
