Speaking for everyone with a teenage boy in the house, the price of milk hurts too.

"Rollercoaster" barely scratches the surface in describing what it feels like supporting Spurs this year. #COYS

I'm a nobody (Wired News, class of 97-98), but if you pull thread from my domain, you'll get the idea of the daisy-chain effect: My personal domain is tethered to an official bio and a Linktree. The official bio validates a Mastodon account, which points back to my domain. Could work the same here.

It can work as a daisy chain: Use your own domain name for social media, then use link verification from an employer to validate it.

If you leave that job, your social media handle remains. And at that point, if they scrub your old bio, so what? You could relink from a new bio if you feel the need.

@kateconger.com & @pfrazee.com, what about Mastodon-esque "rel=me" link verification from a bio page as an alternative solution to employer control of subdomains?

It's easier to set up. And when you leave a job, many companies will just change your bio to past tense, not delete it or the links.

Yep, although adding accounts to lists seems to pepper them into your Discover feed if you use it.

Just finished reading. Harrowing is the right word. In every aspect: How the simple day-to-day math doesn't add up. How there are no real options for further assistance. How the police and healthcare providers act... And beyond all that, the ever-present danger all around.

Sorry you had to spend your Thanksgiving on this—and even sorrier for Iga (and other players without the resources to defend themselves against this nonsense). The players are right: This system is broken.

Yep. Also, I've been stopped from conducting too many searches and adding too many accounts to topically curated feeds. Evidently, that was naughty.
