Love the return of the comets (if they can get the name) but this is a disaster. Fertitta isn't even willing to pony up scratch funds to improve very subpar facilities for the NBA team and that side prints money. Hard to see this being anything other than another governor on growing the league

That happens to me with baking a lot. Want thing, make thing, disappointed in thing, make thing again, pray it's good enough that i can move on with my life. If it's still bad i usually just give up and buy a good version of it

It's fascinating to watch a big 4 league grapple with not having a distinctive platform advantage in a labor negotiation, and for it to be the result of the nba disinvesting in the W for the past 20 years does give it a nice air of reaping/sowing. I ran into a similar thing with a Nuggets jersey and was able to find/order off the nba international shop. wound up having to pay like $30 in tariffs plus shipping, but it's an option if you're SOL elsewhere. Global.nbastore.com

It was such a strange interview. Neither the reporter nor commissioner appear entirely comfortable. Questions seemingly heavily negotiated on and even with time to prep, Silver not totally confident in his answers. Guessing it was thrown together very late to get their talking points out there

They have a podcast ad where they actively encourage ppl to just start gofundmes as a way of getting involved in the community. One of the examples is "do it for your friend, do it for your local school!" it's unhinged. I think they're running into customer acquisition pressures?

I did reporting all throughout college, even some on camera and had to consistently speak and facilitate 30ish ppl groups and did it all capably and then i got interviewed on camera once and could barely get one thought out coherently. It's so hard, even with prep!

The box score doesn't pop (and won't for a while, most reasonable Nuggs fans are prepared for a settling in period) but did you watch the game? He made at least 3 passes MPJ never would have and was on time for multiple rotations behind the play. And the slander from Nuggs fans is certainly coming

It's crazy to me how insular ppl can be to look at the current state of the games industry and say the issue is cost of games, then hand wave every critique as "whiny babies". What's happening in video games is in parallel to the same forces destroying every other creative industry!
